I consider this as a master copy practice. Inspired by the classical painting by Pietro Antonio Rotari. He was a good painter, and his paintings are amazing!
I learnt a lot of stuffs, and it's fun doing master copy. I stylized the girl though  :D

Once upon a time...

hey guys, what's up?
There are a lot of tv series to watch recently. I'm currently watching the once upon a time series, and I quite like it! :D
And also, walking dead :D :D  ,revenge :3 , and supernatural, meh can't catch up supernatural, got bored in the middle , sorry fangirls lol. And I just started to watch doctor who, and im going to watch breaking bad as well, since a lot of people said it's nice.
Well, beside watching, I still have freelancing stuff that I need to finish :o
So, here is my litlle skecth for Once upon a time in disney style or should I say Glen Keane?

I like how the story connecting with the fairy tails, and they have their own alter ego in each universe. But it would be awesome if the fairy tail world is just the kid's delusion lol.

She looks more human now :D

I'm quite happy with the result. but I still need to tweak the skin. I wanted to add some more detail of make up and also trying more advance sss shader...

The Lady from the Past

Oh finally I can finished this one. I would like to done at least 1 vintage potrait like this since university year :D
This piece is inspired by Sir Frederic Leighton's painting. I always love vintage painting such as rococo or baroque works. So, I will practice more on that.
This is the painting of a girl who was from ages ago I believe, and with a dragon on her shoulder. I got this inspiration from Daenerys Targaryen from game of thrones. I love her character, and I like the films!!! I can't wait to watch the season 3. Please fasterrr. I wanted to read the novel though, coz I think the film will be finished in more than 3 years lol. So, I cant wait, I need to buy the novel!
And beside game of thrones, I watched revenge, it's a good drama, and I like Emily Thorne character and her fake smile. so sweet hahahaha

Oh last, today is the filming of the movie that I worked on "Bola Kampung the movie". And I attended the gala premier of that film last 2 weeks. It was fun, but till now I havent watch the whole movie yet, oh the irony. And today is the first filming of The Croods movie too in Malaysia. So, who will win? Bola kampung, the first 3d stereo movie by Malaysia or The Croods, the newest film of Dream Works with the theme song sung by Yuna, a Malaysian singer. I think The Croods will stole more viewer than bola kampung. Seriously, why choose strong enemy oh bola kampung???

I wanna play FF 14 realm reborn, seems fun though, I played the FF 14 old version before, it was ok, but it seems like my pc is outdated already, so it was a bit laggy with the lowest quality of the graphic. haha

Bola Kampung trailer 2 and fanart

A fanart of bola kampung! Bola kampung is an animated film that I'm working on in my company in Malaysia. It will be released soon in March 2013 and in 3d stereo too.
This girl is princess Amanda of Kingdom Hill. She is the only good looking character in the film that I found, lol.
I'm working in the lighting department for this film. And it's already toward end of production.. yeeeyyy
I can't wait to do my final scene of my lighting file hahaha. It was a good experience to work in a movie even thought  a lot of problems happened. There are a lot of limitation that I experienced, so we can't really make good lightings. It was so sad when I can't make something beautiful. and yeah disappointed of that limitation. I believe we can make something more than that, so I hope next project would be nice! :D

Hilvfeor's expression sheet

This is the expression sheet of Hilvfeor from my 3d shorts animation film "Stargazer"
It was so much fun creating the expression, and it was hell tweaking the blendshape in maya  LOL
I tried to make rich expression for him, so I made a lot of blendshapes!

This is what it looks like in viewport. And that's the controller for his facial expression. It's not that much controllers, but it's more than enough for my short animation! It can create any expressions. I should have put more exageration  and flexibelity of the skin to make him more alive. And so, here is the render result!

Anyway about the lighting, to test the skin shader for Hilvfeor, I tested it using reference light from "Tangled"

So, here is the testing result. I'm happy with the result! :D

I know, it's a bit different (or much? lol u decide). I guess it's because they use renderman for rendering. Renderman has a really good result and soft compared to mental ray. And it's not really sync to mental ray shader, haha duuh of course =.=
