Merry Christmas! It's been long time I didn't update my blog. I've been very busy lately. I'm gonna share some of my works later when it's done :D
Happy holiday! anyway I don't have holiday T.T cause I have to finish my work before my impossible deadline...

Hilvfeor's expression sheet

This is the expression sheet of Hilvfeor from my 3d shorts animation film "Stargazer"
It was so much fun creating the expression, and it was hell tweaking the blendshape in maya  LOL
I tried to make rich expression for him, so I made a lot of blendshapes!

This is what it looks like in viewport. And that's the controller for his facial expression. It's not that much controllers, but it's more than enough for my short animation! It can create any expressions. I should have put more exageration  and flexibelity of the skin to make him more alive. And so, here is the render result!

Anyway about the lighting, to test the skin shader for Hilvfeor, I tested it using reference light from "Tangled"

Tangled (right) is copyrighted by Disney, Pixar

So, here is the testing result. I'm happy with the result! :D

I know, it's a bit different (or much? lol u decide). I guess it's because they use renderman for rendering. Renderman has a really good result and soft compared to mental ray. And it's not really sync to mental ray shader, haha duuh of course =.=

my halloween night was spent in the office, doing lighting in maya...so miserable. lol

anyway, ciyus miyapah is a slank word in Indonesia that usually used by alay people. haha

Digicon and Apicta 2012!

Hello all!!! I won a Prize of Effort at Japan's Digicon 6 awards!! :D :D
I won as part of Malaysia regional, wohoooooo
Thanks to my lecturer, mr.SK who submitted my work to the award! :) and also, thanks to my friend for supporting "Stargazer"

And also, me and my team member won a Merit for best student project at APICTA 2012! :D

APICTA is a Malaysian award in multimedia and animation. My project was "Teufel Lampe" (they write it wrong!!!) It was my first 3D short animated project with my friends at class as a team. :D  

Thank you guys, we did our best lol

Oh and then I won the runner up at Faunia Rancher fan art contest as well!! wooooooo, Thanks you very muchhh
